NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The Pittsburg County Water Authority will hold a public hearing at 1:00 p.m. on October 3, 2016 at the Pittsburg County Courthouse in McAlester, Oklahoma. The hearing is to give the citizens an opportunity to become acquainted with the proposed Water Treatment Plant Improvements project and to comment on such issues as economic and environmental impacts, service areas, alternatives to the project, financing aspects or any other issues related to the proposal. The Pittsburg County Water Authority has negotiated an engineering contract with Infrastructure Solutions Group, dba Mehlburger Brawley for the construction of the proposed Water Treatment Plant project. This firm has demonstrated their competence and qualifications to complete this project. The proposed project is identified in the Preliminary Engineering Report prepared by Infrastructure Solutions Group, dba Mehlburger Brawley and consists of the following elements. 1. Chemical room, chemical feed system, flow control valves and meters repair at existing concrete clarifier, floating intake structure, filter valves and controls, decant pumps, tower aeration, and replacement of water main. This Report, which also includes environmental information, is on file and available for public inspection at the office of Infrastructure Solutions Group, dba Mehlburger Brawley located at 719 S. This notice also sets forth the intent of the Pittsburg County Water Authority to file an Application for Financial Assistance through the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Services and/or other lending institution for the construction of this proposed Water Treatment Plant Improvements project.
