ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of McAlester (herein called the "OWNER") desires construct approximately 450 LF of 8â Sewer Line along East Adams Avenue and 721 LF of 8â Sewer Line along East Miami Avenue. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. local time on March 31, 2016 in the conference room on the second (2) floor of City Hall in McAlester, OK BIDS will be received by the City of McAlester (herein called the "OWNER"), at the Office of the City Clerk, 28 East Washington Avenue, McAlester, Oklahoma until 10:30 a.m. local time on April 7, 2016, for: CONTRACT NO. 1: EAST ADAMS AVENUE CONTRACT NO. 2: EAST MIAMI AVENUE SANITARY SEWER LINE Bidders may bid on Contract No. 1, 2 or 1 and 2. The contracts will be awarded separately and tied bids will not be accepted. Plans and Specifications can be obtained online at http://www.hub engineers.com or at the Office of Holloway, Updike&Bellen Inc., 818 East Side Blvd, P.O. Box 1543, Muskogee, Oklahoma, 74402; (918) 682-7811. Payment Options: Online Download $25.00 or ½ size Paper Set $75.00, none of which are refundable. All checks shall be made payable to Holloway, Updike&Bellen. BIDDER must purchase plans and specifications from Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. either directly for paper plans and specifications or through our website for download. BIDDER must be on plan holders list at Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. in order to submit a bid. Each BID must be submitted in a sealed envelope and must be plainly marked on the Outside as: BID FOR CONTRACT NO. 1 - EAST ADAMS AVENUE AND/OR CONTRACT NO. 2 - EAST MIAMI AVENUE SANITARY SEWER LINE OR BOTH. Each sealed envelope containing a BID shall include, on the outside of the envelope, the name, address, and if applicable, the license number of the BIDDER. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the BID must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the City Clerk's Office, City of McAlester Municipal Building, PO Box 578, McAlester, OK 74502. All BIDS must be made on the required BID FORM and in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS furnished by the City of McAlester. All blank spaces for BID prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the BID FORM must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Only one copy of the BID FORM is required. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and/or all BIDS. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The BIDS filed with the McAlester City Clerk will be opened at 10:30 a.m. local time on April 7, 2016 in the Council Chambers on the 1st Floor of City Hall, 28 East Washington Avenue, McAlester, Oklahoma 74501.
